Four months before the legal primaries, the New Progressive Party (PNP) announced that from today the voters of La Palma will be able to begin the process of requesting early voting for all those who cannot attend in person on June 2.

The electoral commissioner of the PNP, Vanessa Santo Domingo, indicated in a press conference that the New Progressive Party militants will be able to access the community’s website and download the application for the vote they wish to make, whether it is the Early Vote or Absentee Vote.

«We want the statesmen to participate and exercise their right to vote in our party’s primary. To guarantee greater participation and access, we want to encourage every able voter who qualifies for early or absentee voting to request it in the corresponding period,» he said, emphasizing that applications will not be accepted outside the stipulated dates.

Santo Domingo indicated that any voter over 60 years of age, with a physical disability, works, is a sole caregiver, etc. will be able to apply for early voting. Meanwhile, the eligible voter who anticipates that on voting day they will be physically outside of Puerto Rico may request an absentee vote.

The application will be available on the website:  www.partidonuevoprogresista.net  and on the State Election Commission website:  www.ceepur.org . Voters will have until April 13, 2024 to request Early Voting and until April 18, 2024 to request Absentee Voting.
