The Borinqueneers Congressional Gold Medal Ceremony National Committee – Non Profit: 501c3 is requesting the cooperation of everyone to contribute to the upcoming events in order to make sure that these noble soldiers, members of the 65th Infantry Regiment also known as; The Borinqueneers, are given the highest tribute, promote their legacy and to educate the nation about their contributions to our nation’s freedom. This can only be made possible with contributions of patriots like yourselves in order to show our gratitude for their heroic deeds. Full funding will assure that our mission and duty to the Borinqueneers are met. This plan shows the complexity of the logistics as well as extent of the necessary expenses, none of which is covered by any governmental agency or the Public Law No. 113-120.

There many expenses associated with the Unveiling Ceremony which date is fast approaching (Spring 2016), the Reception, and the BCGM National Tour. At this point we are focused on the Unveiling Ceremony in Wasington, DC. All financial contributions will be prioritized and used to cover the following items for the Ceremony and subsequent:

– Procure Borinqueneers Tribute Package that will include (provided funds are available):
– Bronze 3” Replicas 1,000 ct.
– Certificate of Awards and Covers 1,000 ct. each
– 1.5” Medal Replicas 1,000 ct.
– Gift Boxes 1,000 ct.
– Custom Gift Bag 1,000 ct.
– Name Tags 1,000 ct.
– Public Relations Education Campaign
Cover Washington DC Unveiling Ceremony Expenses (Borinqueneers +1 Guest – in need of financial assistance):
– Airfare
– Hotel
– Meals
– Transport
– Emergency Medical Assistance Service, and Special Need

All Donations will be applied to expenses associated with the pre-unveiling, unveiling ceremony, and post-unveiling ceremony.

An Educational Phase is in the planning process, to include a Tour of the Medal, provided funds raised are sufficient.

Please find it within your hearts to contribute and show appreciation to those whom gave all for the freedom we get to enjoy. Time is of the essence since Ceremony date will soon be announced and the veterans are fading away with age, illnesses and being called by the Almighty.

ADVISORY (3/5/2016): Our campaign goal has increased to $50,000 due to the fact that while reaching out to the community, many more Veterans from the 65th Infantry Regiment have come forward and are being duly vetted and registered, thus increasing the amount of estimated Borinqueneers to be recognized.  This news we receive it with joy in our hearts, but creates the urgency to increase our goals, to properly pay tribute to ALL…

Special Note: We kindly ask, use due diligence and research, before you commit with your financial contributions to assure you are aiding a duly Authorized and Certified Charity advocating for the Borinqueneers.   Currently, we are the only organization raising funds to benefit directly and completely the Borinqueneers for the above mentioned cause, and under the leadership of the Congressionally Appointed BCGM Liaison.  Details are in the link provided, to assure the transparency of the process.
