She recently served as Deputy Chief of Staff and Legislative Counsel for Puerto Rico’s Resident Commissioner Hon. Jennifer González-Colón in the U.S. House of Representatives. Prior to that Janille served for four years in top staff roles in the Puerto Rico House of Representatives. She’s also worked as Director of Legal Affairs in the Puerto Rico Labor Relations Board, and as Chief of Staff to the Mayor of Ponce. Janille currently works as Director, State and Federal Advocacy at a boutique consulting firm LGA Strategies.photo of Matt HelderMatt HelderPublic Policy Professional & U.S. Army VeteranMatt Helder is a Washington State-based public policy professional. He is a former City Councilmember in the City of DuPont, Washington, having served in that capacity from 2016 to 2020. Matt also served as a legislative assistant and later as a policy analyst for the House Republicans in Washington State from 2014 to 2020. Before becoming involved in state and local politics, Matt served in the U.S. Army as a Field Artillery officer from 2010-2014. In 2012, he deployed to Afghanistan where he led fellow American soldiers from Puerto Rico in combat. He currently is serving as the Washington Director of Government Relations for the American Cancer Society. He is a graduate of Whitworth University, received an active duty commission into the United States Army from Gonzaga University, and received his MS in International Relations with a regional focus on Latin America and the Caribbean from Troy University. He lives in DuPont, WA with his wife and two daughters.photo of José A. CabreraJosé A. CabreraAttorney & U.S. Army VeteranJosé A. Cabrera is an attorney, U.S. Army veteran, and Puerto Rico statehood advocate. He is Chair of the Puerto Rico Star Project and Co-Chair of the Puerto Rico Young Republican Federation. He co-founded and was the National President of the Puerto Rico Statehood Students Association (PRSSA). José currently serves as a Community Programs Officer with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Rural Development. Prior to joining USDA, he served as a paralegal noncommissioned officer in the United States Army. He holds a B.A. and a law degree from the University of Dayton, an M.A. in International Relations from the University of Oklahoma, and a Certificate in Financial Management from Cornell University.
